The Business Consultant is responsible for leading client-facing activities across the full lifecycle of Esker’s I2C or S2P solution implementations. This includes conducting business process analysis, developing solution designs, configuring software, and managing client communications. The role requires applied knowledge of finance or procurement operations and the ability to advise customers on best practices that align with their business goals. The Business Consultant operates with a high level of independence and contributes to internal knowledge development and process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead client discovery sessions and analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, configuration guides, and solution designs.
- Configure Esker solutions for AR, AP, procurement, or related workflows.
- Serve as the primary client contact during implementation, providing timely updates, issue resolution, and strategic guidance.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), solution validation, and go-live activities.
- Deliver end-user and administrator training and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Document process flows, user stories, dashboards, and lessons learned for internal and client use.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in client processes and provide practical, value-focused recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, R&D, Customer Success) to ensure customer needs are addressed.
- May mentor Associate Consultants and contribute to internal knowledge development.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in AR/AP, procurement, finance operations, or solution delivery.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and/or finance automation tools.
- Strong understanding of AR/AP workflows, invoice lifecycle, cash application, deductions, credit, or procurement processes.
- Experience managing or contributing to SaaS or ERP implementations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client engagement skills.
Salary Range: $105,900 - $132,400+ Incentive
